Clinical Care
Clinical intelligence at the point of care.
Clinical data captured on paper or in disconnected systems makes it hard to spot deterioration trends and maintain assessment schedules. Statura Care’s Clinical Care module provides real-time vital signs monitoring, standardised assessment tools, wound tracking with photo documentation, and care plan management — all linked to the resident’s record.

The Challenge
Clinical data captured on paper or in disconnected systems makes it hard to spot deterioration trends, maintain assessment schedules, and ensure care plans reflect current clinical status. Early detection of change saves lives — but only if the data is structured and accessible.
Key Capabilities
What the Clinical Care module does.
Vital Signs Monitoring
Record blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, temperature, and respiratory rate with automatic abnormal value detection. Critical results generate immediate alerts to clinical staff.
9 Standardised Assessments
Built-in scoring for MMSE, RUDAS, MoCA (cognitive), Braden Scale (pressure injury risk), ADL, IADL (functional), Falls Risk, MNA (nutrition), and Abbey Pain Scale — with automated score interpretation and risk categorisation.
Wound Management
Track wounds with type, location, measurements, staging, treatment plan, and photo documentation. PUSH Tool 3.0 scoring with NPUAP-validated bands for objective healing assessment. Monitor healing progress over time with wound assessment history.
Care Plan Management
Create individualised care plans linked to clinical assessments, goals of care, and advance directives. Track review schedules and plan modifications.
Clinical Alerts & Escalation
Abnormal vital signs, overdue assessments, and worsening wound conditions generate alerts with configurable escalation rules to ensure timely clinical response.
Clinical Reporting
Vital signs trends, assessment summaries, wound registers, and care plan compliance reports for clinical governance and Quality Standard evidence.
Regulatory Requirements
What the law requires.
The Aged Care Act 2024 (Standards 3 & 5) sets specific obligations that this module helps you meet systematically.
Ongoing Clinical Assessment
Quality Standard 3 (The Care and Services) requires ongoing assessment and planning with the consumer to optimise health and wellbeing.
Clinical Care Standards
Quality Standard 5 (Clinical Care) requires safe, effective clinical care that meets the consumer’s needs and is delivered by competent staff.
Care Plan Documentation
Care plans must be documented, regularly reviewed, and reflect the consumer’s current needs and preferences.
Works With
Better together.
When modules work together, intelligence compounds. Clinical Care integrates with these modules for a complete compliance picture.
Medications
Clinical assessments may trigger medication reviews. Vital sign changes can indicate medication side effects.
SIRS & Incidents
Clinical incidents — falls causing injury, pressure injuries — may be reportable under SIRS.
Care Delivery
Care plans inform daily care delivery, and progress notes reference clinical assessments.
Quality Indicators
Clinical assessment data informs QI calculations for falls, pressure injuries, and weight loss.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What clinical assessments are built into the module?
Nine standardised assessment tools with automated scoring: MMSE, RUDAS, and MoCA for cognitive function; Braden Scale for pressure injury risk; ADL and IADL for functional capacity; Falls Risk Assessment; MNA for nutrition; and Abbey Pain Scale. Each produces a risk category and score interpretation automatically.
How does abnormal vital sign detection work?
When a vital sign is recorded, the system checks it against clinically validated reference ranges. Values at or above high thresholds or below low thresholds generate immediate alerts to clinical staff with the specific abnormality identified, enabling rapid clinical response.
Can the module track wounds with photos over time?
Yes. Wound management includes type, location, measurements, staging, treatment plan, and photo documentation. You can monitor healing progress over time with wound assessment history, giving clinicians a visual record of wound trajectory.
How does Clinical Care link to Quality Standard evidence?
Clinical data automatically feeds into Quality Standard 3 (The Care and Services) and Quality Standard 5 (Clinical Care) evidence. Assessment schedules, care plan reviews, and clinical outcomes are all documented in a format that supports ACQSC assessment contacts.
