Account & data deletion

Request account and data deletion.

Statura Care is a B2B platform — accounts are issued by your employer (the care provider), not created directly by you, so deletion follows a different path than a typical consumer app. This page explains what you can request, what we're required to retain, and how to submit a request.

Last updated: 27 May 2026

1. What you can request

You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you as an individual user of the Statura Care Worker mobile app or the web platform. This includes:

  • Your login — email address, password hash, and multi-factor secrets
  • Your profile — name, phone number, qualifications, profile photo
  • Your device bindings — PIN hash, biometric template references, push notification tokens, registered devices
  • Your session history — sign-in events, IP addresses associated with your sessions
  • Any analytics or marketing data we hold associated with you, where applicable

2. What we're required to retain

Some records cannot be fully deleted while we, your employer, or the care provider have an ongoing legal, regulatory, security, dispute-resolution, or contractual obligation to retain them. In Australian aged care, this typically includes:

  • Clinical and care records you created or contributed to, where retention is required by the provider's aged-care, health-record, funding, incident-management, or contractual obligations. The Aged Care Act 2024 requires registered providers to keep and retain records prescribed by the Aged Care Rules 2025.
  • Audit logs of access to personal and health information, where needed for privacy, security, aged-care, audit, or dispute purposes.
  • Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) records and related investigations, under the Aged Care Act 2024 and the Aged Care Rules 2025.
  • Time and pay records (shift entries, clock-in timestamps, timesheets), which employers must generally keep for seven years under the Fair Work Act 2009.

Where records must be retained, we will limit further use to the retention purpose and de-identify them where lawful and practicable.

3. How to request deletion

Email us from the address associated with your account. We accept requests in any format, but providing the details below helps us action your request faster.

Email privacy@statura.care

The link above opens your email client with a pre-filled template. If it doesn't work, email privacy@statura.care directly with the subject line Statura Care account deletion request.

Please include

  • Your full name
  • Your work email address (the one you use to sign in)
  • The name of your employer or the care provider you work for
  • Approximate date you last used Statura Care (helpful for locating your account)
  • Optional — a reason for the request, or specific types of data you want deleted

4. What happens next

Within 5 business days

We acknowledge your request and ask any clarifying questions.

Coordination with your employer

Because the care provider is the controller of workplace records, we confirm identity and any offboarding steps with them before actioning the request.

Within 30 days

We action the request where practicable and email you a written confirmation. If part of your request involves records that must be retained, we explain which records and why where we are legally permitted to do so.

5. If you're not satisfied

You have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). They can be reached at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

See also our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how Statura Care handles personal information.

Note for care recipients and family

If you are a care recipient or a family member of a care recipient, the organisation that cares for you (the approved provider) is the controller of that data. Deletion requests for resident or client records should be made directly to that organisation in the first instance. If they are unable to assist, you may contact us at privacy@statura.care.
