Quality Standards

Audit-ready at all times — not just before an assessment.

The 7 Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards define the outcomes providers must achieve. Statura Care’s Quality Standards module structures your self-assessment process, automatically maps evidence from every active module, and maintains a continuous improvement register — so you’re always assessment-ready, not scrambling before an ACQSC visit.

The Challenge

ACQSC assessments can happen at any time — announced or unannounced. If your evidence is scattered across filing cabinets, shared drives, and individual knowledge, you’re at risk. Preparing for an assessment shouldn’t be a three-month project. It should be the natural output of day-to-day compliance work.

Key Capabilities

What the Quality Standards module does.

01

Self-Assessment Engine

Assess compliance at the outcome level for each of the 7 Quality Standards. Rate each outcome as Compliant, Partially Compliant, Non-Compliant, or Not Assessed — with narrative reasoning and evidence references.

02

Cross-Module Evidence Mapping

Evidence flows in from every active module automatically. SIRS incident data feeds Standard 2 (The Organisation) and Standard 3 (The Care and Services). Workforce staffing data feeds Standard 2. Clinical data feeds Standard 5 (Clinical Care). You build evidence through normal operations, not manual collection.

03

Continuous Improvement Register

Every non-compliance or partial compliance triggers an improvement action with tracking: what needs improving, who’s responsible, due date, progress updates, completion evidence, and verification.

04

Assessment Cycle Management

Rolling assessment schedule so you’re not assessing all 7 standards at once. Set frequency per standard (default 6 months), assign assessors, and track when each standard is next due.

05

Audit Preparation Pack

Generate a comprehensive digital audit binder for ACQSC assessment contacts. Includes all self-assessments, mapped evidence, improvement actions, and cross-module data — structured the way assessors expect to see it.

06

Compliance Dashboard

Visual heatmap across all 7 standards showing outcome-level compliance status. Instantly identify gaps, track improvement over time, and report to your governing body with confidence.

Regulatory Requirements

What the law requires.

The Aged Care Act 2024 (s 110) sets specific obligations that this module helps you meet systematically.

Continuous Self-Assessment

Providers must continuously assess their compliance against the 7 Quality Standards.

Evidence Documentation

Compliance must be supported by documented evidence — not just assertions.

Continuous Improvement

A systematic continuous improvement approach is a registration condition.

Assessment Readiness

ACQSC assessments can occur at any time. Providers must be able to demonstrate compliance on demand.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many Quality Standards are there and when did they commence?

There are 7 Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, which commenced on 1 November 2025. They replace the previous 8 standards and are structured around outcomes that providers must achieve for consumers.

How does Statura Care collect evidence without extra work?

Evidence flows in automatically from every active module. SIRS incident data feeds Standard 2 and Standard 3, workforce staffing data feeds Standard 2, and clinical data feeds Standard 5. You build evidence through normal day-to-day operations — not through manual collection before an assessment.

What is an 'assessment contact' and how should we prepare?

The ACQSC conducts assessment contacts (not audits or inspections) using assessors (not auditors). These can be announced or unannounced. Statura Care generates a digital audit preparation pack structured the way assessors expect to see evidence — so you are always ready, not scrambling.

Can we assess all 7 standards at the same time?

You can, but the module supports a rolling assessment schedule so you spread the workload. Set a frequency per standard (default 6 months), assign assessors, and track when each standard is next due — ensuring continuous compliance rather than a one-off exercise.
